The Academy Celebration Pre-Show

You’re Invited to an Evening of Joy, Vision, and Community!

Join us on May 12th for a special Pre-Show Celebration honoring the life-changing work of Corner to Corner.

You’ll hear from New York Times best-selling author Jon Acuff and the dynamic President of Belmont University, Greg Jones, as they share their passion for this movement of hope and entrepreneurship in Nashville.

Then, experience the heart of our mission as we step into a graduation celebration unlike any you’ve ever seen. Expect joy, cheering, and even a few tears as neighbors launch their business with the full support of Nashville!

Doors open at 4:30 PM in the Vince Gill Suite with delicious hors d’oeuvres and connection around the work transforming our city.

Our speakers will begin at 5:30 PM.

Jon Acuff is the New York Times bestselling author of ten books, including his most recent, All it Takes is a Goal.

Published in dozens of languages, his work is both critically acclaimed and adored by readers. When he’s not writing, Acuff can be found on a stage, as one of INC’s Top 100 Leadership Speakers. Known for his insights wrapped in humor, Acuff shared the stage with an American Icon when he opened up for Dolly Parton at the Ryman Auditorium.

Dr. Greg Jones became president of Belmont University in 2021, bringing with him a wealth of experience in higher education leadership. Under his guidance, Belmont has embarked on an ambitious vision to be the leading Christ-centered university in the world, radically championing the pursuit of life abundant for all people. 

Under his leadership, Belmont opened the $92 million Jack C. Massey Center, secured the largest gift in University history, and received a $32 million grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. to inspire faith through the arts.

At 6:00 PM, The Academy Celebration will begin – you’ll see the joy that we talk about come to life right before your eyes.

The first round of pitches should conclude around 6:30 PM. You are more than welcome to stay for the entirety of the celebration, but we understand if you have to head home – it is a Monday after all!
