
Rick Martin
Chief Development Officer
Rick Martin is the former Sr. Director of Compassion Forward at Asurion in Nashville, TN. Compassion Forward is Asurion’s philanthropic nonprofit entity. Rick has scaled the nonprofit into operations of approximately 4M annually and has expanded its reach globally. He provides thought leadership and direction with business partners, around delivery and execution of the strategic roadmap and associated change elements to scale effectively. He also served as a lead for diversity, equity, and inclusion for Customer Solutions and led collaboration with the enterprise DEI team on ideas that drive equity and employee satisfaction.
Rick has over 20 years of corporate experience in operations, logistics, supply chain management and non-profit management including transportation and leading nonprofit activities across multiple countries. He has expertise in global transportation networks across multiple countries as he has led the rollout of networks in the U.S., Philippines, U.K., and Japan. Rick has been involved in education in Middle Tennessee through his nonprofit leadership by giving his time to education related organizations through his board service. This has led him to being involved as a volunteer, mentor, and board chair.
Rick is a graduate of the University of Tennessee Knoxville with a degree in Industrial Engineering. He also holds a certificate from Belmont University’s Executive Education Program. He currently serves on the board of KIPP Nashville, YWCA Nashville, Music City Bowl and Leadership Nashville. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, golf, and volunteering.
