Tara was born and raised in Knoxville, TN but always considered Nashville home because it’s the birthplace of her parents. After moving to Middle Tennessee to attend Tennessee State University, she has been in Nashville for nearly 30 years. Tara is married with two amazing adult sons and one granddaughter. She is an Academy Alumna and owner of ElevateNow, a Learning and Development Consulting firm specializing in soft and technical skills training via in-person and virtual courses. With more than 20 years of experience in the non-profit sector, she has held many positions, including board chair, in a faith-based organization. Tara enjoys baking, completing DIY projects, and reading in her spare time. As the Director of Operations, she is responsible for all of the back-end duties of running a nonprofit.
